Math Freaks Come Out Tomorrow Night!

Our Math Freaks event is almost here, and there are exciting things happening in Room 308. For a few weeks now we have been preparing ourselves for the event by running through the activities in class. Freaky Faces, Pascal's Pumpkins, Little Shop of Horrors, and this week, Math O' Lanterns, amongst many other activities. Tomorrow, from 5:15pm onwards, each student will have a role to play for the event, from greeting families at the registration desk, to running stations, cleaning up pumpkin goo, and general guidance for families who need it. They will be the experts, and it will be their show, so I hope that you can all come out and support them (if the time allows).

  • We will need adults to take on roles with the transporting of large pumpkins to the carving station, supervision of sharp objects at the pumpkin station, and I would love if someone could take some photos of the families, and the stations.

  • We still need extra decorations for the event. We will do what we can with what we have so far, but some additional spooky decorations that we could borrow for just the event, could then be sent home with families after the event. We are also looking for families to bring labelled knives for carving if you have some that you are willing to loan out for the evening (don't send them in during the day, just bring them that night).

  • Some other items we are looking to borrow for the evening...

  • Bathroom scales to weigh pumpkins (or any scale that might work)

  • Adding machine or cash register for the Little Shop

  • Remember to come dressed for fun tomorrow night.

  • We hope to see most of you there!

      Regards, Ray and Room 308
