And we're off!

It is September again and we are back in the swing of things in Room 308. Things got off to a great start this past week, with everyone bringing a ton of positive energy and excitement to class every day. This year we are an enthusiastic group of 26 (27 including me) who so far seem ready for some adventures in learning. Here are some quick reminders for the week ahead:
- Supplies form and money is due along with a $5 fee for the junior planners (agendas)
- School contact information sheets need to be verified and returned
- Media permission forms need to be signed and returned
- Parliament hill permission forms and money is due Monday
- our first Scholastic book orders are will be sent off next Friday
- Family directory and CASC volunteer sheets need to be returned
- Cross country has started, each morning at 7:20ish. Forms are available for those who want to run. The meet is in mid October
- Room 308 Family Planning meeting is this upcoming Tuesday in our room at 6:30PM. All parents are welcome, and encouraged to attend to kick off the new school year.
- Our first field trip of the year is next Thursday, and we will need parent volunteers for the day. Let Ray know if you are available.
- Group snack volunteers for the next week are needed until we can get a snack schedule sent home.
- We are still hoping to find a volunteer to buy a dozen crickets (pet stores like Critter Jungle sell them) and bring them by the class for out fire bellied toads Romeo and Juliet.

Welcome back to school, Ray

Wow, 26 students. Remember when you had 32? Also, anyone here remember me? To those of you that don't know me, I'm Chip. I'm in seventh grade currently, but I was in room 308 last year. If any of my old classmates want to keep in touch with me, click on "chipl", and join my message board. I made it myself, but someone else put the skin and post markers in.

Ray, can you please add a link to that wedsite with the volcano sim? I have spent a week trying to find this site.

P.S.I saw the thing about Romeo and Juliet's tankmates. Cool!
