This week and next we are keeping journals in our Literacy logs. The expectation is to make 8 entries between today and Friday, December 3rd. The class discussed the content of these entries, and we decided that each entry needs to have:
1-date
2-location the entry is written (kitchen, bus, bedroom, etc.)
3-weather observations for the day (some details would be nice)
4-reading log entry (what you read, and how much today)
5-explain a meal you had, or at least one thing you ate or drank today
6-word OR quote OR song (OR other) of the day (pick something to share from your day)
7-mention one thing you did outside of school
8-list people you spoke to or spent time with outside of school hours
9-give a brief account of the major events of your day/summarize what happened to you today (just the highlights, and exciting things, not every little detail)
This is not meant to be a load of writing. Just eight points about your day, and a quick highlight of the major events.
