Family Math Night

Math Freaks Come Out At Night
Dear Room 308 Families,

We would like to offer you a unique opportunity to explore the excitement of math with your children.  To get you thinking about, and using, math together you are invited to Churchill’s first family math night on Tuesday, October 30th, 2012, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.

A range of Halloween themed math activities are planned, which will excite, intrigue, and entertain you including our Little Shop of Horrors, Terrible Trivia, Franken Face Building, Pumpkin Pattern Blocks, and more.
Among the stations you visit will be a ‘Math-O-Lanterns’ site, where family teams will challenge their estimation and measurement skills, before carving their pumpkins and getting photographed with their Math-O-Lantern design.

This is an event that Room 308 is hosting, and we will very much be in need of volunteers to make the evening run smoothly.  If you can attend, for the fun of the math, and to lend a hand, please indicate on the bottom portion of this form.
Since we need to know who will be available to help run the event, please fill out and return the bottom of the form that went home today, indicating whether your child will, or will not be able to participate.
Costumes are optional, but encouraged.    There is no cost for this activity.
Registration starts at 5:15, so Room 308 students will need to be at the school by then.
