Final thoughts for Room 308's Grade 6's 2013...

As we all get ready for our next year of school, starting on Tuesday, I wanted to send off a quick 'good luck' wish to everyone who is moving on to middle school (for both students, and parents:).  I know that you will all meet challenges, and rise to them in the coming weeks.  I wish you every bit of success and happiness in the coming years.
I would also like to give a (belated) thanks to everyone for the wonderful goodbye gifts that were given to me at the end of the year.  It was unneccessary, but very much appreciated.  And a huge thank you to Colin Sparks who organized that wonderful gift card from Home Depot.  I put it to good use at home for help with a window I installed, some sod that I laid around the boy's play structure, and several other little projects around the house.  Thanks again to everyone, and to Colin for not only organizing that gift, but for keeping us organized over the year as the class coordinator.
As I alluded to with the home projects above, it has been a busy summer for me and the family.  I taught summer school starting from the first day of summer, and all of the other time I spent with the boys and Jenny, either goint to parks, beaches, museums, camping, or visiting family out of town.  I apologise again for just sending this off now, but I have literally been offline all summer for the most part.  At our movie night/open house, many of you asked for copies of the movies we viewed.  I have made them available to you at the following links.  I hope that you can share them, and enjoy them with family and friends for years to come.  There are also links to the full School of Rock videos.  We will be sharing those links through a school newsletter soon, so feel free to share them yourselves.
It was a pleasure sharing the last year or two with each and every one of our Room 308 community.  I look forward to hearing all about your future adventures.  Please stop me and say hello if you see me on the street.  I will always want to know how things are going.  Take care, Ray
