We did it! Today was exciting and nerve wracking, and tiring all at once for the members of Room
308 -2013-14 edition. It was a whirlwind of a day, which just kept on rolling from the first hello on the yard, to the goodbyes at the end of the day. Our focus was on creating a community in the class, and I am glad to say that everyone got right into the rhythm of things, moving and shaking and chanting together as a class throughout the day. The class is starting to make the shift towards thinking less in terms of "me" and more in terms of "we", which will be an important aspect of life for them as junior students in our broader school community.
Lots and lots of information went home today, and hopefully families can sort through it all. There are five sheets to be returned ASAP, three from the pink package, and the registration verification sheets. Expect more forms and notices in the coming days.
We are off to a great start I'd say. Check the blue class newsletter for a ton of important info. Our class meeting is next Tuesday, at 6:00pm in room 308. All parents are encouraged to attend.
Regards, Ray
