Dig It

Where were you on Tuesday night? The grade five/six students of Churchill were presenting a play.
The play was called 'dig it' and was about people going back in time.
They went to ancient Egypt,Greece,Mesopotamia,Ethiopia,Rome and China.
The amount of students was 75. The classes chose to do it because they did one last year and everyone liked it a lot.

The three main characters were Tut,Taki and Lucy. Each class had two songs.
Ray's class had 'Greece is The word' and 'In my Tomb'. Maggie's class had 'So long Ago' and
'Empires of the East'.Cheryl's class had 'Toga Party' and 'Between Two Rivers. In my opinion the
play went perfectly and was well rehearsed. They finished with 'Here's To the Future' and a
reprise of 'So long Ago'.


Taki and Tut started the play by coming from the back of the gym flashing flashlights around.
Up on the stage they found a skeleton that could talk. The skeleton [Lucy] brought them through the
years to see what it was like back then. All in all , I give it a four out of five.

DIG IT
On Tuesday the 10th and Wednesday the 11th the 5/6 of Churchill Alternative put on a remarkable play. Their play was about the ancient times in Greece, Rome, Mesopotamia, China, Ethiopia and Egypt. It was a musical and the play had 8 songs. The song names were Greece is the word, In my tomb, Toga party, Two rivers, So long ago, Empires of the east, Here's to the future and So long ago reprise.

The first thing I will touch on will be the songs. They were amazing, the kids must have put a lot of work into them. With all the props, singing loudly and movements it was great. If they were to put a play on next year I would be the first one in!

The second thing will be the costumes. I think the costumes were great. Even though some were straight forward I still think they were cool. Especially the Kimonos, that was cool to see!
The third thing will be the scenes. All that work went to good use. With all the props and acting it was amazing! I have to admit I didn't have a favourite scene.

Altogether it was an amazing play and I would totally go and see it again!

Dig It Play Review

On Tuesday March 10th at 7:00 PM there was a play going on inside Churchill Alternative school called “dig it”. This play has many scenes like...Ancient Egypt, Ancient China, Mesopotamia, Rome, and last but not least Ethiopia. My favourite was Rome because of the song and the good acting.

The song that were being played were...Toga Party, Greece is the word, In my tomb, Between two Rivers, Emperors of the East, and So long ago. My favourite song was Toga Party (which is the song from Rome). My second favourite song was Emperors of the East.

During this play we had a whole bunch of actors to fill all of the characters in the entire play.(There were around 75 actors)

The scenery was amazing to my eyes and it was all hand painted by the grade 5/6 students of Churchill. All together I would give the play a... 4 out of 5!!! thats how good i thought the play was.
