So, we are all ready to try our trip to the Carlingwood library again. This time we will go, rain or shine. Thank you to all those who have volunteered to come along with us. Bring along your raincoats and umbrellas. The plan was to stop at the park for some outdoor games, and then eat our lunch. If the rain has not stopped by the time we leave Churchill, we will slightly alter our plans, and not spend time in the park. It should be a great day to get out for some exercise and to get some in depth experience with research methods at the local library.
This is also just a reminder that we need the Parliament Hill trip forms in ASAP. Please note that there is a $4 fee for this trip to cover the costs of transporting everyone to the hill and back. At least six forms came in today without money. Also please try to ensure that money sent in with a form is sealed in an envelope or ziplock baggie. This makes it easier to ensure that the money you send in is credited to the proper student's name.
Finally, if you are around the school, you might want to check out the primer coat we put down today for the outline of our solar system on the playground. My class painted the original murals on the yard, and we are re-designing and painting them (if we get some more sunshine) in the coming days. Remember, if you have any leftover paint at home (regular house paint), and especially if it is a fun colour, please think about sending it in. We can alway use more options for our murals.
Regards, Ray
