If anyone gets this message, it is to ask for stuffed panda bears to be brought in for our video shoot tomorrow. Several classes at Churchill will be filming a video of them performing a song (We are Going to be Friends - by White Stripes). It is part of a program involving the pandas that are coming to the Metro Zoo in Toronto. A last minute thought was for as many people as possible to wear black or white or bring stuffed pandas.
On another note, our class challenged all the other junior classes, and lead the way to an overwhelming one day collection of food for the food drive. We more than doubled the total food collections that the whole school had done so far. Great work to the students who went class to class to rally the students to bring in donations. Students from a local school will have a much more pleasant March break thanks to all the efforts of the Churchill community. We hope to collect even more on Friday morning before it is delivered, so still send in those non perishables if you can!
