Field Day Cancelled

Well, the rain had to come eventually, as it has been a really dry fall so far, but it is too bad that it has hit on our field day. The message went home with the students today that we would have to re schedule for a later, and hopefully sunnier, date.
The week flew by, being shorter than usual. We reviewed our Literacy Log work from last week, and found that there was a lot of room for improvement. This week's logs focused on letter writing again, but from the point of view of a character in the story, writing to another person in the story, or to the reader. We are working on the idea of summarizing in class, so next week we will likely summarize what we read.
We are still looking for more Family Breakfast sheets. We only have three in from our class, and many feel that they will be coming along on that day, so let's get the details in by Tuesday so that they can plan for the event.
