The week ahead

This week we have a couple of fun art projects lined up. One math related one will have us making mandalas with water colour paint. For our other activity, we are decorating our class door for the holiday season. Each student has a seperate square to cover in whatever way they choose. Any wrapping paper, ribbons, or stickers that can be sent in for that activity would be appreciated. We will do this on Wednesday.
We are in the process of creating a song that we will share with our writing buddies in grade 2/3 at a sharing in the near future. It should be fun and entertaining, as well as really creative (a grade 2 actually came up with the idea we are using).
This week's literacy log assignment is below.
Have a great week.
Regards, Ray
ps. It was great to see so many out at the craft sale Saturday. I think it was a big success.

Create a bookmark featuring either your favourite character, or the character you consider to be most significant in your book. Be sure to include the book title and author as well as the character's name and "portrait" or illustration. On the back of the bookmark, describe your character and explain why he or she is important in your book and how you feel about this character. Write out the rough copy in your book before creating a final product (this can be by hand on paper, using the computer, or any other form).
